A LETTER FROM PASTOR MARRON:

04/25/20

Hey Innovation Family,

How are you?  No really, HOW ARE YOU

It’s been nearly six weeks since our last  “in-person” worship experience and let me tell you,  I miss seeing my Innovation Church Family.  All the smiles, the genuine love and enthusiastic fellowship with the BEST CHURCH FAMILY IN THE WORLD.

I wanted to send you a quick note to check in on you and your family as well as encourage you to remain “INN THE HOUSE”!

Many of you have been following along in the news and heard that the Stay At Home order for TN is scheduled to be lifted on (or before) April 30th.   I know many of you are wondering,  “What does that mean for Innovation Church?” and “When will we be opening our doors again for worship?”  Honestly, I do not know.  As your Pastor, your health and safety has and will continue to be a priority.   Right now, we are unsure of when we will be able to gather in large groups again;  right now, we are taking it day by day.   As we work to strategize our return, I want to encourage you and your family to continue to practice the social distancing guidelines set forth by the CDC.   As businesses and restaurants begin to re-open, I admonish you, please remain vigilant and wise.  Staying in is protection, not punishment.  It is my prayer that when we return to our physical locations for worship, that we do so with a healthy congregation.

Let me also remind you that what we are enduring right now is temporary.  THIS TOO SHALL PASS.  Yes, it has rearranged our schedules, inconvenienced us a bit and burdened us with new challenges, yet I consider what Paul says in Romans 8:18 - “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us."

Let’s continue to be intentional about drawing closer to God,  engaging with and spending quality time with our family and doing the things that really matter.

The temporary closure of our building is creating a new normal for us - but our purpose remains the same.  We will continue to innovatively EVANGELIZE the lost;  EMPOWER the believer for kingdom living; and COMMIT to building Godly families, Godly communities and change lives for the Glory of God.

Here's a recap of how we've maintained OUR Innovation community.

  • 10-Days of Corporate Prayer

  • Virtual Sunday morning Worship Experiences

  • Virtual Sunday morning worship experiences for ALL Children and Youth areas

  • Virtual Life Groups (all ages)

  • Virtual Empower Hour - Thursdays @ 6:37pm

  • Virtual New Member Discovery Classes

  • Virtual Mancave

  • Virtual Teen Nyte (outreach for youth)

  • Virtual PJ’s & Pancakes - Girls Night In

  • Hosted an “unofficial” 7th Anniversary After Party

  • Conducted drive-by celebrations for the health care professionals within our congregation

  • The Men of Mancave provided free lawn-care & senior packages for senior & disabled members

  • "Encouragement Drive-By" to a local health clinic

  • Hosted a Food Distribution Site (in collaboration with the Mphs Food Bank) - serving 525+ families

  • Served as an Emergency Meal Site for children and families in need in 38127. 1,575+ lunches served to date

  • Provided lunch for physicians and staff at local clinic (Christ Community Medical)

Innovation, we will get through this.  Let’s continue to be in prayer for the protection of all people and their families, healing of those who are ill, and comfort for those who have lost a loved one.

Lastly, I would love to hear from you.  Check out the links below to drop me a line or two and let me know how you and your family are really doing or to let us know how we can be of assistance to you.

We are in this together.

I am praying for you and love you all.
